The Founding of Pleasures
The streetwear label PLEASURES was first launched in 2015 by Alex James and Vlad Elkin in a gallery pop-up in Los Angeles. They deliver statement pieces that are particularly popular among celebrities: Playboy Carti, Keith Ape, The Weekend, Kylie Jenner and many more wear the unique designs. The controversial and eye-catching prints are particularly inspired by the metal, grunge and punk scenes. “Each piece has multiple meanings, depending on what you see in it. Clothing is subjective, as is art. The collections, which are not dedicated to any particular theme, are created through feelings, instincts and emotions. Instead of forcing something, we just do what we want.” Alex James describes the design process of new pieces.
